Keeping Up With Dennis Chun

Dennis Chun, better known as Sgt. Duke Lukela in CBS’ Hawaii 5-0 series, is keeping busy with so much activities in this month. Let’s take a look at his ongoing activities when he is not busy with Hawaii 5-0.

Dennis recently participated at the Honolulu Theater for Youth Sneak Peek Preview show together with Auli’i Carvalho and Kimee Balmilero (also a cast of Hawaii 5-0 as Dr. Noelani Cunha).  Dennis posted in his Facebook page:

HTY.JPG“Want to thank the Honolulu Theater for Youth for allowing me to be a part of their Sneak Peek 2017. It was special honor to appear with Auli’i Carvahlo of Moana and Kimee Balmilero. These two young ladies are not only very gifted talents but also two of the most gracious and down to earth young women one could wish to meet. They are raising Hawai’i star to new levels of excellence. What wonderful role models they are for our keiki. Am so proud of them. Was fun to be back on stage and perform Barbecue Uncle in Lee Cataluna’ new play, “Extraordinary Stories from an Ordinary Ohana”

Dennis also narrated and spoke at the SAG-AFTRA Tribute for Asian-American History Month and attended Four SAG-AFTA Casting Access Classes.  Dennis added he needs to make sure he is ready to bring his ‘A’ game when Season 8 (Hawaii 5-0) starts.

Currently, Dennis is working on PR plans for the short film ‘Same T’ing’ to which he plays the character of Mr. Wuu, a gentleman who loses both of his legs to diabetes. The film is in its final stage now. He also made an appearance at the JCCH Gala this weekend, June 17th.
